Principal’s Message: December 15, 2024
Good afternoon Wildcats,
We made it to the final week of the Fall Semester. Tomorrow will be the final regular school day before our final exam minimum day schedule. See below for more information on our bell schedule this week. Don't forget that the City bus schedule will follow our final exam schedule. Final grades will be posted to Infinite Campus on Friday December 20th after 3pm.
Before winter break, we will have a breakfast for all staff to celebrate our great team at West Ranch. We would like to give all staff some prizes and gift cards that day. If you can, please consider donating a gift card to your favorite store, restaurant, or coffee shop. For example, a $10 gift card to Starbucks would be great. A $20 gift card to Amazon would be fantastic. A $40 gift card to Wood Ranch would be amazing! Have your student drop off your gift card in the Welcome Center. You can give it to any of our front office team members. You can also write a short note of thanks if you want to. These gift cards will be given out randomly during the holiday breakfast. Our goal is to give out 80 gift cards to our staff on December 20! Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!

City Bus schedule for Finals Week
The city bus schedule changes for the early release for Final exams. Families may want to consider making other arrangements for the early release. The end of the day trip will be as follows for this week:
- Monday 12/16: regular pick-up time
- Tuesday 12/17: 1:45pm pick-up
- Wednesday 12/18: 1:45pm pick-up
- Thursday 12/19: 12:30pm

Early Releases During Finals Schedule
If you know that your student will require an early release during Finals (12/17, 12/18, 12/19), please email the Attendance Office at [email protected] in advance. Keep in mind that it is district policy not to release students during the last 15 minutes of class or when there is less than 30 minutes left in the school day.
Your student(s) will need to pick up their release pass before class - no passes will be delivered during finals- so there is no disruption or distraction to the class. Thank you, Attendance Office Staff

Work Permits over Winter Break
If your student needs a work permit over the Winter Break, it can only be done at the District Office at specific times beginning Dec. 23. Click the link for more details: https://www.hartdistrict.org/apps/pages/students-work-permits
Student Schedules for Spring Semester 2025
Spring Semester class schedules will be posted in IC on the morning of January 10, 2025. Students will be able to view their class schedule online at that time.
Lost and Found items
Lost and Found items will be on a table by the main gate beginning Monday, Dec. 9th through Thursday, Dec. 19th. Any items not claimed by 12:30pm on 12/19 will be donated or thrown away. For electronic items, jewelry and keys, please see Ms. Beatty in the main office.
Library Information
The library will be closed after school during minimum days.
Winter Break Office Hours
We have limited hours throughout the Winter Break, including times when the school will be completely closed.
