Principal’s Message: December 14, 2025

Good afternoon Wildcats,

We made it to the final week of the Fall Semester. Tomorrow will be the final regular school day before our final exam minimum day schedule. There will be no late start Wednesday this week as we will follow the bell schedule listed below. Don't forget that the City bus schedule will follow our final exam schedule. Please know that teachers will be updating grades all week and students/parents should hold off on sending emails to teachers until grades are finalized on Friday December 19th. Final grades will be posted to Infinite Campus portal on Monday December 22nd after 3pm.

Thank you to the 88 students and 10 teachers who came to our Candy Canes and Cram Open Library Night last week. Tomorrow, December 15th is our final academic assistance of the semester. Students are welcome to come to our library for academic assistance from 3pm-5pm. We look forward to supporting more students prepare for finals.

We hope that everyone has a wonderful winter break, and we wish everyone a happy holidays. The Spring semester begins on Monday January 12, 2026.

with an early release each day.

Fall Semester 2025 Final Exam Dates

Tuesday, December 16, 2025 - Periods 1, 5, and 7

Wednesday, December 17, 2025 – Periods 2, 6, and 7

Thursday, December 18, 2025 – Periods 3 and 4

Friday, December 19, 2025 – NO SCHOOL

Bell Schedule for Final Exams (110 minute periods)

First Final 8:30-10:20

Brunch 10:20-10:35

Second Final 10:40-12:30

End of Day or Period 7 Break 12:30-12:40

Period 7 12:45-1:45 (First 2 days only)

City Bus schedule for Finals Week

The city bus schedule changes for the early release for Final exams. Families may want to consider making other arrangements for the early release. The end of the day trip will be as follows for this week:

Monday 12/15: regular pick-up time
Tuesday 12/16: 1:45pm pick-up
Wednesday 12/17: 1:45pm pick-up
Thursday 12/18: 12:30pm

Early Releases During Finals Schedule
If you know that your student will require an early release during Finals (12/16, 12/17, 12/18), please email the Attendance Office at [email protected] in advance. Keep in mind that it is district policy not to release students during the last 15 minutes of class or when there is less than 30 minutes left in the school day.

Your student(s) will need to pick up their release pass before class - no passes will be delivered during finals- so there is no disruption or distraction to the class. Thank you, Attendance Office Staff

School Picture Pickup
If you purchased school pictures during registration, please ask your student(s) to pick them up from the main office.

Locker Clear Out and Lost & Found
All lockers must be cleared out and items claimed from Lost & Found by 12pm on Thursday, Dec. 18th. Any items left after this date will be donated or discarded.

Winter Break Office Hours
We have limited hours throughout the Winter Break, including times when the school will be completely closed.

Student Schedules for Spring Semester 2025
Spring Semester class schedules will be posted in IC on the morning of January 9, 2025. Students will be able to view their class schedule online at that time.

Academic Support & Tutoring Information

Holiday Wish list

Before winter break, we will have staff recognitions to celebrate our great team at West Ranch. We would like to give all staff some prizes and gift cards that day. If you can, please consider donating a gift card to your favorite store, restaurant, or coffee shop. For example, a $10 gift card to Starbucks would be great. A $20 gift card to Amazon would be fantastic. A $40 gift card to Wood Ranch would be amazing! Have your student drop off your gift card in the Welcome Center. You can give it to any of our front office team members. You can also write a short note of thanks if you want to. These gift cards will be given out randomly during the holiday meetings. Our goal is to give out 80 gift cards to our staff on December 19! Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
