Telephone Message from the Principal
I would like to invite our parents and guardians to stop by the Starbucks on the Old Road near Jamba Juice on Tuesday morning, November 18th for our second Starbucks with the Principal.

Starbucks with the principal is an informal time for parents to gather and talk with one another and the principal from 8:45 – 9:45 about any topic from school to parenting.

I hope to see you at the Starbucks near the corner of The Old Road and Stevenson Ranch Parkway.

The second announcement that I have for you is that this Thursday, November 20th will be a minimum day for students. Teachers will be working in collaborative groups improving instruction.

Theater Construction - Updated 9/18/08
At the September 17, 2008 school board meeting, the governing board rejected the bids for the completion of the West Ranch High School Theater and ordered the project to be rebid. This action, combined with a delay in state funding, has resulted in a new timetable for the theater construction. The new schedule calls for the contract to be awarded in January, 2009 with construction starting in February. The project is now estimated to cost $2.3 million, and is expected to be completed in August, 2009.

West Ranch was built under the state’s hardship program, and the auditorium was left unfinished in order to meet the program’s rigid budgetary constraints. The building shell is already in place, including a finished lobby, restrooms, stagecraft bay and ceiling-mounted heating/air conditioning systems. The build out will include seating, ceiling, lighting, stage riggings, HVAC ducting, a state-of-the-art sound reinforcement system and finishing.
